Blake Equipment is seeking an experienced Service Technician.
Our ideal candidate would be a heavy equipment diesel mechanic with experience in troubleshooting and repairing well drilling equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot all aspects of customer well drilling equipment
- Diagnostics
- Repair diesel and gas engines
- Repair hydraulic systems
- Repair electrical systems
- Be able to drive heavy equipment
- Work with manufacturers to obtain parts
- Process repair work paperwork for invoicing
- Travel through New England and the east coast to make repairs as needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Perform other related duties as needed, these would include learning other functions of our operations such as the operation of our loader and CNC manufacturing machines.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum 2 years experience working on heavy equipment
- Diagnostics
- Documentation
- Hydraulic systems experience
- Electrical systems experience
- Ability to Weld and Fabricate
- CDL License is a plus but not required
- Experience driving large trucks and equipment
- Knowledge of large screw compressors
- Self starter and able to work alone with a strong work ethic
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to communicate and work well with others
- Able to travel and spend time away from home, up to 40%
- Clean D.O.T.
