ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a hybrid position, required to work inside the warehouse and deliver product to customers when required. Time is expected to be split evenly between the two responsibilities, outlined in detail below.

  • Prepare all shipments including pulling stock and preparation of invoices
  • Receive all incoming shipments; including inspecting for damages and auditing for accuracy
  • Put stock away in proper location after it has been received in the ERP system
  • Assist in loading and unloading of trucks
  • Assist with the maintenance of inventory control and cycle counts
  • Load and unload trucks and/or trailers. Properly secure loads in accordance with state/federal regulation and common safety practices
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
  • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
  • Submit receipts and money received from deliveries
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Maintains company gas card, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance; also, responsible for ensuring Driver License and Medical Certificate are current and on person at all times while driving a company vehicle

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to create routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  •         Must have or obtain a chauffeur's license
  • Must consent to a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
