GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The Accounting Manager oversees daily financial operations, manages accounting personnel, and ensures the accuracy of financial records. This role leads the month-end closing process, enforces internal policies, maintains regulatory compliance, and provides critical audit and research support to safeguard company assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the accounting function, including managing the accounting clerks and their workloads.
  • Completion of the monthly close process, including but not limited to implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the daily operation of accounting processing, including deposits, accounts payable & inventory costing.
  • Makes journal entries and prepares account reconciliations.
  • Accumulates and maintains audit support for internal and external auditors.
  • Research complex transactions and prepares documentation outlining issues and conclusions.
  • Responsible for insuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise accounting clerks, utilizing Human Resources; trains employees, manages workloads, disciplines employees, addresses complaints and resolves problems.

  • Minimal travel (2-6 weeks per year) is required

Pay: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
